As we mentioned in our meetings, by the request of our membership, we have installed some forum software that will allow our community to connect and share ideas.
You can go to http://www.TheFlexGroup.org/forums and check them out.
Most sections are available to the public, but the jobs boards are reserved for members of the Michigan Flex Users Group. We will be phasing out our external Job List by the end of this year.
Enjoy!

It seems that companies are hiring Flex developers again! If you are in the market, let me know at nick@theflexgroup.org and i will pass on the current list.
- R.L. Polk & Co. is hiring a Flex/Java developer to be located out of Southfield, MI. Contact Eric Haener for more information eric_haener@polk.com
- Michigan State University Telecommunication Systems Department is looking for a student employee to help enhance and maintain existing Flex applications. Must be a full-time student at MSU for the FS/SS 09/10. Contact nk@msu.edu for more information.
If you have a job to post, please let me know, and I will be happy to pass them along. Our only rule is that the job must use some sort of Flex/ActionScript/Flash/AIR technologies, and the job MUST be based, or performed in Michigan.

The Language Learning Center at Michigan State University has an opening for a full-time web programmer. This is a new, exciting opportunity to use cutting-edge technology to new learning applications. This programmer will create language-learning applications for the web, Second Life, mobile phones, and other new technologies, and so requires a wide range of skills, as well as a strong interest in learning new technologies.
